Description
This is the 1946 Cobey-Waite (Molded Insulation Company; Bill Cobey and George Waite, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) "Model 1470" (.147in; 2.5cc) model airplane engine with a fuel tank. This engine turns over smoothly with good compression. These were originally an ignition model engine and the timer is missing on this one (converted to glow and has a Champion VG-3 glow plug). There have been replicas of this engine made, but the case on this one seems too old to me and I believe it to be one of the original engines. I think the prop driver and NVA are not original and the fuel tank is metal and so I think also not original. Add this to your American model engine collection. I will be listing a number of model engines this week, all at 99 cents and no reserve! The shipping charges include free insurance and delivery tracking (USA only). Thanks for looking!
