Use Peat Moss mixed with soil for seed starting and to grow plants. Add it to established plants to loosen the soil and provide moisture retention.
Packaged dry peat is naturally water repellant. Before adding it to your soil, add water while stirring the mixture, which will speed up the rate of absorption.
