This listing is for a gorgeous example of Loetz VESUVIAN Creta Glatt (green) iridescent Art Glass from the Art Nouveau Period, c. 1901. The
vase has a beautiful deep green iridescent glass corset shaped body with applied bronze glass tendrils or tadpoles surrounding the body. Vase is u
nmarked as is most Loetz glass but is guaranteed to be as described.
The vase has a beautiful appearance and will be a gorgeous display example of this type Loetz glass, however, there are several flaws to mention. There is a small production bubble near one of the tadpoles that has caused a faint internal hairline out from the bubble on the interior of the vase. There is also a small scratch on the outside of the vase about a half inch from the upper edge and minor no-harm rubbing to the bronze iridescent finish on two of the tadpoles. The most noticeable issue is that there is damage to the bottom inch on one of the tadpoles. Although the form of the tadpole is present, the top surface is slightly rough. Please view all photos with photos 3 and 4 showing this flaw.
Measures 6" high with a 4 1/2" top diameter and a base diameter of 4 1/4". Weighs 1.8 pounds.
