Description
This is a large sized fold out pattern for three mid-century modern embroidery projects. Details for all three projects are given and there is a black and white photo on the front of two of them, Carnival and King and Queen. The other is Ducks and all three are just fabulous! The instructions include details for supplies. If you are not familiar with these sorts of patterns/guides, back in the day when you purchased a Good Housekeeping magazine you could send a few dollars and get this in the mail. The magazine would feature a full color picture of the projects and usually show them displayed in a room environment. My Mom ordered these a few times a year. Sometimes she made them, sometimes they sat in her Secretaire. She was a funny little thing! The date on this is 1963. Trust me, she saved everything. She was pretty embarrassed that she saved this sort of thing but I've actually done some of the projects myself. In fact I just finished pillows. Since MCM is such a style motivator now I'm hoping someone will love this as much as she did. The Ducks finished piece is as large as the two on the front of this. Large embroidery was really hot back in the early 1960's. Also, if you cruise down on this page you will find photos that can be greatly enlarged by clicking on them. I pay extra for this service so I hope you will use it.Vintage 1963 Good Housekeeping Embroidery Guide Pattern 3 Mid-Century Designs
